Astro Terms of Service

Effective from

Welcome to Astro

These terms explain how Astro works and what we agree to when you use it. They cover the Astro website at astro.qd0.ai and the Astro app at astro.qd0.ai/app.

Astro is a product of QD0 Labs Inc, based at 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, USA. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean QD0 Labs Inc, "Astro" means our app and website, and "you" means the person using it.

By using Astro, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Astro.

What Astro is

Astro is a wellness app for reflection and wellbeing. It shows your day in the Indian and Chinese skies, an almanac, festivals from 11 calendars, wishes and a wish-link page you can share, a daily try, a song, a journal, and Ask, which gives AI answers to your questions.

For you: Astro is a gentle daily companion to help you pause, reflect and plan your day.

What Astro isn't

Astro is not medical, financial, legal or psychological advice. It does not replace a doctor, counsellor, lawyer, financial adviser or any other professional.

Ask never gives yes or no answers about relationships, work, money or health. If you are facing an important choice in these areas, please talk to someone qualified who knows your situation.

If you are not feeling okay and need support right away, please reach out to a local helpline or a person you trust.

For you: use Astro as one thoughtful view of your day, and keep the big decisions with you and the people who know you.

Who can use Astro

You need to be 13 or older to use Astro.

If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to buy credits.

Where the law where you live sets a higher age to agree to how your data is used (in some EU countries this is up to 16), a parent or guardian agrees for you.

You also need to be able to agree to these terms under the law where you live.

Your account

You can explore much of Astro without an account. You only need one when you ask your first question in Ask.

To sign in, you enter your email and we send you a sign-in link. Each link works once and expires after 15 minutes.

Your account holds only your email address and your credit balance. Your birth details stay on your device.

Please keep access to your email safe, because anyone who can open your email can sign in to your Astro account.

For you: your account is small on purpose, so very little about you leaves your device.

Credits

Ask uses credits. Every account gets a one-time starting credit worth $1. After that, you can buy credit packs of $5, $20, $50 or $100.

We show credits as "about N questions" so you know roughly how many questions you have left. Each answered question uses the same amount of credit, so the number is rounded down and you never get fewer than we show.

Credits are used only for AI questions. If Ask can't answer a question, it doesn't use any credit.

To keep Astro fair and steady for everyone, there are limits on how many questions you can ask in a short time and in a day, and Ask may pause briefly for everyone. When that happens, no credit is used, and we show you when you can ask again where we know it.

Credits do not expire while your account is open, including the $1 starting credit.

Credits belong to your account only. They can't be transferred to another account, sold or exchanged for cash.

Credits are not money and have no value outside Astro.

For you: you only spend credit when Ask actually answers you.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe, a payment company. We don't see or store your full card details.

All prices are in US dollars. Charged in US dollars. Your bank converts it to your currency. Your bank may add its own fee for converting.

Prices are shown on the buy screen and on the Pricing page before you pay.

The price you see is the full price you pay. We don't add tax at checkout.

For you: you always see the price before you pay, and you only pay for what you choose to buy.

Refunds

Credit packs and the $1 starting credit can't be refunded, except where the law says we must.

If you are in the UK or the EU, the law usually gives you 14 days to change your mind about a purchase. Because your credits are ready to use straight away, the buy screen will ask you to agree to get them right away and to give up that 14-day right to cancel. We ask this clearly before you pay, so the choice is always yours.

Nothing in these terms takes away any refund rights the law where you live gives you. If you think one applies, write to us at support@qd0.ai and we will gladly look into it.

For you: your credits are ready the moment you buy them, so please pick the pack that suits you.

Using Astro kindly

Please use Astro in a fair and lawful way. You agree not to:

Break the law, or use Astro to harm, harass or mislead anyone.

Use wishes or wish-links to send hateful, abusive or unwanted messages.

Try to get into parts of Astro you aren't meant to, overload it, or get around how credits work.

Copy, scrape or resell Astro or its content, or use automated tools to pull it out in bulk.

Pretend to be someone else, or share another person's details without their agreement.

If you don't follow these rules, we may limit or close your account. We will tell you why where we can.

Your journal and wishes

What you write in your journal and in wishes belongs to you.

Your journal is saved only in your browser on your device. It is never sent to our servers, Ask doesn't read it, and signing in doesn't copy it anywhere else.

Because it lives only in that browser, clearing your browser data or switching to another device removes it, and we can't get it back for you.

When you share a wish-link, anyone with the link can see that wish. Please only share what you are happy for others to see.

You give us permission to store and show your wishes only as needed to deliver them to the people you choose.

For you: your words stay yours, and you choose who sees them.

About AI answers

Ask uses a third-party AI provider that processes your question to write the answer.

AI answers can sometimes be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Please read them as one point of view to reflect on, not as fact or advice.

Ask does not give yes or no answers on relationships, work, money or health, and it may decline some questions.

We may improve, change or pause Ask from time to time.

For you: Ask is there to help you think, and you stay in charge of what you do next.

Our content

Astro's design, words, readings, almanac, festival information, songs, tries and software belong to us or the people who license them to us.

You may use Astro for your own personal use. Please don't copy, share or sell our content for other purposes without asking us first.

Our festival and sky information comes from the sources listed on the Sources page and the How we know page.

Your privacy

We collect as little as we can. Our Privacy page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have: astro.qd0.ai/privacy. Our Cookies page explains the cookies we use: astro.qd0.ai/cookies.

Changes to Astro and these terms

We may update Astro and these terms as the app grows, for example when we add new AI features.

If we make an important change to these terms, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect.

If you keep using Astro after a change takes effect, you agree to the updated terms. If you don't agree, you can stop using Astro and close your account.

Ending your use

You can stop using Astro at any time, and you can ask us to close your account by writing to support@qd0.ai.

When your account closes, any unused credits end with it.

We may close or pause an account that breaks these terms, or if we have to by law. If we stop offering Astro altogether, we will give you notice and refund any unused paid credits. The $1 starting credit is not refunded.

Limits on our responsibility

We work hard to keep Astro accurate and running, but we provide it "as is". We can't promise it will always be available, always correct or right for your needs.

We are not responsible for choices you make based on Astro, including its readings and AI answers.

As far as the law allows, the most we will owe you for any claim is the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50, whichever is higher.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law does not allow it, for example for fraud, or for harm caused by our carelessness where the law says we can't exclude it.

Which law applies

QD0 Labs Inc is a Delaware corporation in the USA. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of Delaware.

Nothing in these terms takes away the consumer protections that the law of your own country gives you.
